Tomorrow is D-day for Liverpool flop

Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish are looking for a new centre-back and a striker before the transfer window closes on August 31.

The stumbling block for Dalglish to sign more new players hinged on the deadwoods exiting Anfield the soonest possible. Milan Jovanovic says he expects to know by Tuesday whether he will be securing a move to Belgian side Anderlecht.

The 30-year-old, a free transfer from Standard Liege last summer, is surplus to requirements at Anfield, and has not featured in any of the club’s pre-season fixtures.

Anderlecht are keen to take the Serbia international back to the Jupiler League, and Jovanovic says he will find out if the move will be completed early this week.

“On August 2 I will know whether or not I will move to Anderlecht.

“Then I have a meeting with the board. The interest is serious and the board really wants me.

“There is a big chance an agreement will be made.” - he told a Belgian newspaper.
