Liverpool left-back close to Rennes switch

Liverpool has agreed a fee in the region of £1million for French starlet, Chris Mavinga with Rennes.

The French club appear to have beaten Genk and Villarreal to his signature. Mavinga is wanted by the trio after being told his future lies away from Anfield and Rennes, Villarreal and Genk were all ready to make official bids for him.

Rennes have secured a deal for the left-back and hope to announce the signing this week.
