Successful operation for Jamie Carragher

Liverpool have today confirmed Jamie Carragher has undergone a successful operation on the shoulder he dislocated at Tottenham last weekend.

Carragher is expected to be out for three months.

   "The operation went well,"

"It also confirmed this was the correct course of action to take to ensure Jamie makes a complete recovery." - said Peter Brukner, Head of Sports Medicine and Sports Science at Anfield.

Carragher will now set out on the road to full fitness after undergoing successful surgery.
