WTF? Just barely 12 months after the takeover by the Americans and now The Yankees are looking for buyers. Is this just a piece of a sensational tabloid news or the truth? This piece of shit was written by Chris Bascombe for News of the World. Jurgen Klinsmann to replace Rafael Benitez? Can you believe this crap?
Back on track
After a back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, Liverpool has revived their title bid with a 4-1 thumping of Portsmouth at Anfield last Saturday. The Reds still remains 10 points off the leader and have a game on hand. This hectic festive period are very crucial for Liverpool, nothing less than a 12 points out of 4 games are at stakes here.
Liverpool raced to a 2-nil lead in the first quater of the hour with goals from Yossi Benayoun (13th) and an own-goal by Sylvain Distin (16th) before Benjani pulled one back for Portsmouth in the 57th minutes. Fernando 'El Nino' Torres puts this match beyond Portsmouth with two late goals.

We conceded some terrible goals through poor defending but Torres is a a top striker, a fantastic player who is at another level. He is in a top-four team with a lot of good players who can tear you apart on the day.
Make no mistake, Liverpool can beat anybody on their day and the top four teams are at another level to everybody else in this division.

The Super 16
You may call it tough luck or whatever you want. But I was looking forward to this Champions League grudge match with Inter Milan. During the draw process, the candidates that are in the pot were Sevilla, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan after Barcelona was drawn against Celtic earlier. I was hoping for a rematch against AC Milan, but we got Inter instead.Liverpool and Inter Milan only met once in European competition, way back in 1964/65 semi-finals of the European Champion Clubs' Cup. Liverpool triumphing 3-1 in the first leg at Anfield only for Inter to overturn that deficit with a 3-0 victory in the return, going on to lift the trophy for the second time in their history. Liverpool have won four of their six home games against Italian opposition, including their last two, but have tasted success just once in six visits to Italian teams. Inter, may have won only three of their nine trips to England, yet two of those victories came in their last two visits, in impressive fashion, 4-1 at Newcastle United and 3-0 at Arsenal.
The Reds will entertain the Italian champions in the first-leg on Tuesday, February 19 while the second-leg in Italy will be played on Tuesday, March 11 2008. And here are the rest of the last 16 draws for this year Champions League.

Rafa Benitez is the best thing to have happened to Liverpool Football Club since the success of the 1980s. To sack him would be a grave mistake as he could walk into any major club of his choosing. Such is his talent.
If everyone genuinely wants the best for our club then there is no question that Rafa should stay.The future hasn’t looked as positive for LFC since the ’80s.
If you sack Rafa, you’ll lose the best manager in the world and half the squad will leave. You will destroy your own financial asset and the heritage of all Liverpool fans. Rafa’s only doing the best he can for the club. Please match his aspirations.

What a bad day! Uploaded a new template and it cleaned out all my existing widgets/columns. To rub salt into wound, my backup templates won't work as something has corrupted it. Arrrgggghhhh....
