Sack Dalglish and Liverpool FC will become a mid-table club in years to come

Kenny Dalglish Don’t get me wrong, I’m neither a pro-Dalglish regime nor against him. Yes, we must admit that finishing eight in the league are unacceptable for a club like Liverpool. Building a team needs time. Fenway Sports Group has invested heavily on their club and the project are just half baked. My question is, why stop now?

Dalglish still has two years to run on the contract he was given by FSG just over 12 months ago. Club officials refused to comment on intense speculation that Dalglish had been relieved of his duties following the summit but the we understands no decision has yet been made.

Speculation reached fever pitch on internet and social networking sites around late yesterday morning with unsubstantiated claims ranging from him being sacked to resigning.

Without a public show of support from FSG, Dalglish's job will remain a subject for debate even though just over a month ago Werner stated that the owners had "great confidence in Kenny and he enjoys our full support".

Dalglish is now set to embark on his summer break, but doubts remain as to whether he will be in charge at Anfield at the start of next season.

Clarke was pictured alongside Henry and Werner at Boston Red Sox’s baseball match against Seattle Mariners at Fenway Park on Monday evening.

Dalglish was absent as he was preparing to fly back to Merseyside. Clarke stayed on longer because he was travelling on to Miami for a family holiday.

Let’s not embarked in more speculations until the club has made an official statement on the whole situation. Let’s give Dalglish another 12 months to get his plans back on track and if things doesn’t worked out then we can start pushing the panic button.

Many rumours has linked Roberto Martinez to Liverpool. Frankly speaking, do you think Martinez can manage Liverpool? I, personally doesn’t think so.

Rumour Mill: Liverpool eyeing a trio of Premier League stars

Clint Dempsey After losing the FA Cup Final to Chelsea last Saturday, Liverpool FC were left with nothing to play for with last two league matches to go before heading for the break.

According to reports, Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish has highlighted the importance of next season and getting the right personnel into the playing squad. The likes of Aston Villa’s Darren Bent, Fulham’s Clint Dempsey and Wigan’s Victor Moses, all are on Liverpool’s summer shopping list. These three players are Premier League ready and would served as the most potential players to fill-in the gaps at Anfield.

Bent who is said to be nearing a full recovery from an ankle injury that has kept him sidelined for much of the second half of the current campaign. Liverpool could well do with alternative attacking options after managing just 43 goals in 36 Premier League matches. Luis Suarez has been the attacker in chief and even though Andy Carroll has scored three in his last five matches the former Newcastle United man is still yet to make a real impact at the Merseyside club.

Liverpool are believed to be the favourites to sign the USA international, who is heading for the Craven Cottage exit door as he stalls over accepting the offer of a new three-year contract. Dempsey's reluctance to put pen to paper has alerted Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is looking to bolster his side this summer following the recent addition of Lukas Podolski.

While Victor Moses has produced a string of scintillating performances as the Latics have climbed away from the Premier League relegation zone in recent weeks. That has alerted the likes of Harry Redknapp and Dalglish, who could be preparing to place bids for the Nigeria international.

The major stumbling block for Liverpool FC are the recently published annual financial loses and Dalglish will need to trimmed down the squad further if he wishes to add in more new faces this summer.

Will Bent, Dempsey and Moses move to Liverpool FC this summer? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.

Video Highlights: Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool

Liverpool suffered FA Cup final heartache as goals from Ramires and Didier Drogba gave Chelsea a 2-1 win at Wembley.

The Reds hoped to complete a cup double after their Carling Cup success but found themselves with a two-goal deficit following a disappointing first hour at the national stadium.

Substitute Andy Carroll inspired an unrelenting fight back in the final half-an-hour, but the Reds could not find an equaliser to add to his 64th minute goal.

Instead it was Chelsea who lifted their seventh FA Cup, but our third trip to Wembley this season was still a reminder that Kenny Dalglish has at least led Liverpool back into contention for silverware.

Rumour Mill: Liverpool rival Premier League clubs for £50M-rated striker

Montpellier-Olivier-Giroud Liverpool joining the race to sign one of French finest international forward this summer. Arsenal, Newcastle and Bayern Munich has identified the Montpellier striker, Olivier Giroud as a potential transfer target.

However, Giroud has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Newcastle in recent months. Arsene Wenger has reportedly instructed his France-based scout Giles Grimandi to keep a tab on the player's progress.

And Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin dismissed Newcastle's attempts to court the services of his star striker last year declaring the northern club to be "too small" for Giroud.

Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish has been searching a strike partner for Luis Suarez to bolster the Reds attacking options. The £35million signing, Andy Carroll has failed to liven up to his expectation at Anfield so far and may leave this summer but on a loan term.

Dalglish and assistant Steve Clarke watched Montpellier’s 1-0 victory at Toulouse on last Friday night and were joined in the stands by Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi and Bayern Munich’s general manager Christian Nerlinger.

Although there were other players on show that have attracted Liverpool’s interest in the past year, including Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko and Montpellier captain and defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, it is understood Giroud was the focus of Dalglish’s attention.

Giroud is rated at £50million but is understood to have a release clause considerably lower at £13.5million.

The stumbling block though could be his desire to play in the Champions League.

Montpellier should qualify while Liverpool will be in the Europa League.

Liverpool look set to sign Swedish midfielder for £8M

Many speculations suggested that Liverpool FC has agreed terms with Swedish international midfielder, Rasmus Elm.

The Swedish international was pulled out of Sunday's game against Feyenoord after his wife gave birth to their first child leaving Kenny Dalglish to re-schedule another spying visit.

Rasmus Elm Elm is expected to figure against NEC Nijmegen as Liverpool consider making an official £8million offer for the 24-year-old.

Rasmus Elm’s agent has moved quickly to cool talk of a transfer to Liverpool, insisting his client will wait until the end of the season before deciding upon his future.

Patrick Mork told eurosport.de: “No, it’s not (true).”

“What is said is that Rasmus would wait until after the season before he makes any decision. That’s just media speculation gone too far.”

Dark has requested that all interested parties should come back with their offers at the end of the current campaign, allowing the player to focus on his football until then.

“For starters, he wants to say until the end of the season.” he added.

“I ask all clubs who call to come back, but exactly when Rasmus would decide I do not know”.
