Four of the Reds Under 18′s starlets have been rewarded for their impressive performances this season, and particularly in Monday’s 9-0 victory, with a trip to Prague in Liverpool’s 23 man squad.
If Raheem Sterling is selected in the final 18 and makes an appearance, he will be Liverpool FC’s youngest ever player at the mere age of 16 years and 71 days.

Luis Suarez made his first start for Liverpool as the Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Wigan Athletic at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Raul Meireles opened the scoring midway through the first half, latching onto a half-cleared cross and fizzing a volley into the back of the net to secure his fifth goal in six matches.
Wigan restored parity on 65 minutes when Steve Gohouri converted at close range after reaching Charles N'Zogbia's deep centre.
Suarez rattled the crossbar with a free-kick late on as the Reds searched for a winner, though ultimately they were forced to settle for a point.
The result, however, does see Liverpool extend their unbeaten run to six matches and consolidates their position of sixth in the table.
The home side went into the contest hoping to extend their four-match winning run in the Barclays Premier League - a sequence achieved with the aid of a quartet of clean sheets and that elevated them up to sixth in the table ahead of kick-off. [Read more…]

Daniel Agger scored a superb goal and Glen Johnson set up the winner as Denmark lost 2-1 to England in Copenhagen on Wednesday night.
Christian Poulsen captained the Danes and Agger got his country off to a great start when he met a right wing cross with a superb header after only seven minutes.
However, Darren Bent grabbed an equaliser three minutes later.
Johnson set up what turned out to be the winning goal in the 68th minute, when he produced a storming run into the Denmark half from right-back before setting up substitute Ashley Young who found the net.
All three Reds played the full 90 minutes.

Liverpool may have just sold Fernando Torres to Chelsea, but John Henry and the Fenway Group have taken over the running of Liverpool Football club with just one aim; to bring the Premiership title back to Anfield after a 20 years drought.
“We did that, and we have a 20 years drought for winning the first division at Liverpool. Liverpool has never won a Premier League.
“There was a very strong feeling amongst us that we were uniquely qualified to break the ‘curse’. Even though we didn’t know the sport, we knew the sports business and knew what it takes to put together a sports organisation.
“It gives me goose bumps to think we could deliver a Premier League title to Liverpool – it’s what we are there for, we have no other agenda than that.”
This could be great for the Premiership and make it even more competitive.
With Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and perhaps even Tottenham, going for the title in a big way, the Premier League will remain the best in the world for a long time to come.

Raul Meireles stole the headlines as Liverpool claimed a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Portugal midfielder scored the only goal on a day when Fernando Torres made his Chelsea debut following his transfer from Liverpool this week.
The result completes a league double for the Reds over their wealthy rivals and makes it four successive victories for Kenny Dalglish, a sequence which has lifted his side to sixth in the Barclays Premier League.
There were plastic flags at dawn as Chelsea stadium announcer Neil Barnett read out the respective teams. While all eyes were on Torres (although bizarrely the matchday programme opted to feature Ramires on its cover), Dalglish once again decided to begin with Luis Suarez on the bench.
One of two changes for Liverpool saw Jamie Carragher return from a dislocated shoulder sustained at Tottenham on November 28. He would form part of a three-man backline.
The trio were immediately put in danger on two minutes when a loose ball from Maxi Rodriguez gifted you know who a first opportunity to score against his former club. The Spaniard elected to shoot from distance but his effort whirled high into the stands. [Read more…]

Robbie Fowler today displayed his dismay at Fernando Torres' departure from Liverpool as he and his Perth Glory teammates fronted up for the Queensland flood victims.
And the 35-year-old Scouser sported a Liverpool top with the Spaniard's name on as part of 'The Shirts That Hurt' fundraiser for victims of the recent floods.
"There is nothing wrong with the front of the shirt, it is the name on the back," Fowler said.
"I think it is quite apt to wear it for a worthy cause as it is something myself or any other Liverpool fan wouldn't be seen in."
In a quirk of the fixture list Torres is set to make his Chelsea debut this Sunday against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge - with his former fans ready to give the World Cup winner a rough ride.
"There's something not quite right about the Spaniard's last-minute transfer to Chelsea and the Liverpool fans have been up in arms," Fowler wrote in his column in The West Australian today.
"Only a couple of weeks ago Torres was talking about how much he loved the fans and the club. He won't be getting a warm welcome next time he plays at Anfield.
"As a Liverpool fan it was disappointing to see Torres leave because on his day he's a world-class player and I want the best players at the club. But if I was a manager and a player said he didn't want to be at the club I'd try to get the best deal I could."
Suarez scored on his Liverpool debut in the 2-0 midweek win over Stoke but Carroll is currently sidelined through injury and Fowler says it is uncertain whether he can prove a suitable replacement for Torres.
"Liverpool have probably ended up paying over the odds for Carroll, who cost £35 million," Fowler wrote.
"He is 22 and has been outstanding this season but he doesn't have a lot of experience at this level. It's hard to know whether he can keep that up year after year."

Collingwood supporter Sekulovski donned the colours of Hawthorn, while Port Adelaide follower Pellegrino wore a Crows Guernsey.
Mitchell, a Manchester United supporter, sported a Chelsea kit, Scotland rugby fan McGarry was an All Black for the day, while NBA nut Scott Neville dropped the Chicago Bulls for the LA Lakers.

The January transfer windows has now completely shut. Liverpool Football Club paid two record transfer fees to sign Andy Carroll from Newcastle United for £35million and Luis Suarez from Ajax Amsterdam for £22.8million.
From this transfer window, do you have noticed that King Kenny has signed some players resembles to his 1987 era recruits? John Aldridge, Peter Beardsley and John Barnes back in the 1987 campaign.
Andy Carroll has the temperamental similar to Aldridge back in the 80’s, while the speedy Suarez has liken to Beardsley. But Liverpool last-minute bid for winger Ashley Young failed to materialised and Young could be the missing jigsaw piece that could sees him as the new John Barnes of the 21st century.
Formidable in the air and a real presence in attack, Carroll will be relishing the move to Anfield and a potentially deadly new partnership with Luis Suarez.
The new look Liverpool side has now go on and registered their third win in a row and three clean sheets in succession under Kenny Dalglish.
Before these new signings, Liverpool are too dependant on two players, Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard. After last night victory over Stoke City at Anfield, Kenny Dalglish is already looking forward to the time when he can field new signings Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez alongside Steven Gerrard and Raul Meireles in a "frightening'' attacking line-up. Fernando who?
Dalglish also paid tribute to his team, reorganised in a 3-4-2-1 formation to combat Stoke's approach, for their third successive clean sheet.
"What was every bit as important was the defenders did their job to ensure we could go and win it and I thought they were superb,'' he said.
A formula to accommodate both Gerrard and Meireles, who scored the opener, behind the two new strikers could be problematic but football is not really about formations. The point is that Dalglish now has a quartet of foragers who will swing plenty of tight games his way. By an unforeseeable twist, losing the most expensive player to wear the Liver bird has broken the dependence on two star turns: Torres, who probably left months ago, in his head, and Gerrard, the over-burdened embodiment of all things Liverpool.
In less than a month Dalglish has lost a household name but rebuilt the front of his side. Just to see Suarez on the pitch in his old No.7 shirt must have felt reassuring. No longer is Liverpool's time spent worrying about who will leave next. Instead all eyes are on the new boys, the future.
