Another Argentine player could be on the way out of Anfield

Javier Mascherano Speculation are mounting on the possibility for Javier Mascherano to follow Emiliano Insua out of Anfield before the new season kick-off. In the latest interview with Reds boss, Roy Hodgson says he is yet to speak to midfielder Javier Mascherano, and has struggled to reach the Argentine.

Mascherano has been heavily linked with a big money summer move to Inter Milan, prompting Hodgson to be keen to talk about his future at Anfield.

“I have tried to contact Javier,”

“I have left him voice messages and sent him texts but had no reply. To be fair to him, that’s not unusual because he’s had a tough World Cup and I believe he’s gone back to Argentina.

“It’s not always easy to get in touch with people. I have tried to reach him to make clear I am happy to talk with him at his convenience.” Roy Hodgson speaking to the press

Inter chief Massimo Moratti says the club definitely have the Argentine international on their wish list.

“Mascherano? I know he has always played well, he has a strong character, is a smart guy,”

“We have so many players in that role good and intelligent. We’ll see if he can help us in terms of technical tactics.” Moratti told Sky Italia.

Earlier in the press, they suggested that Liverpool have reportedly agreed a fee of £5million to sell Argentine left-back Emiliano Insua to Italian side Fiorentina.

Transfer rumours : Reds want £12.5million striker

Bryan Ruiz FC Twente’s Bryan Ruiz, has being closely monitored by Liverpool FC. Roy Hodgson want to sign the Costa Rican international from Dutch champions FC Twente, when he was in-charged at Fulham but the price tag was too hefty for them.

Ruiz joined Twente from Belgian outfit, Ghent in the summer of 2009. His goals helped Twente to their first-ever Dutch league crown, netting 24 goals in 34 appearances and has since been linked with a move to many a bigger club.

Liverpool FC need to competes with Valencia, Sevilla, Wolfsburg and Fulham for his signature. He has a £12.5million release clause in his deal and Liverpool appear to be ready to meet that clause.

Does this signals the end of Ryan Babel’s tenure at Anfield?

Liverpool FC appoint Roy Hodgson

Roy HodgsonRoy Hodgson set to be Liverpool’s 18th manager and he’s being warned that he’ll have a massive jobs on hand. Hodgson joins Liverpool from Fulham, where he guided the Cottagers to the Europa League final in May and was voted Manager of the Year by the League Managers' Association.

He exclusively told Liverpoolfc.tv: "This is the biggest job in club football and I'm honoured to be taking on the role of manager of Britain's most successful football club. I look forward to meeting the players and the supporters and getting down to work at Melwood."

The earlier poll here indicates that he’s not the fan’s favourite to this managerial position. Anyway, we hope he will turn Liverpool’s last dismal season around.
